NAVEEN JAIN'S INTELIUS NAMED A FINALIST IN TWO CATEGORIES OF THE 2006 AMERICAN BUSINESS AWARDS

BELLEVUE, Wash. – May 16, 2006 – Intelius, Inc., a company that empowers consumers with information for intelligent decisions, was named a finalist today in the Best New Company and Best New Product or Service categories of The 2006 American Business Awards.

Hailed as “the business world’s own Oscars” by the New York Post (April 27, 2005), The American Business Awards are the only national, all-encompassing business awards program honoring great performances in the workplace.

Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word “crowned,” winners will be announced during the annual gala on Monday, June 12 at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City. More than 800 executives from across the U.S.A. are expected to attend. The ceremonies will be videocast on the Internet and broadcast on radio.

Intelius is competing in the Best New Company category and the Best New Product or Service category for IDWatch, the award-winning, proactive identity theft detection, prevention and insurance service. More than 1,500 entries from companies of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted for consideration in the Stevie Awards.

Intelius was founded in 2003 to provide predictive intelligence to consumers and businesses online for important everyday decisions. In three years since its inception, the company has acquired 3 million unique, paying customers and has built a more than $40 million business. Through the success of its offerings, which include background checks and its identity theft prevention service, Intelius has emerged as a clear market leader in information commerce.

“In only three years since launch, Intelius has helped millions of customers make more intelligent decisions about people, businesses and assets. In fact, we are adding 200,000 new users month over month,” said Naveen Jain, CEO of Intelius. “Being named a Stevie Award finalist in two categories is a great source of pride for Intelius. It highlights the growth of our company and the value of our offerings, inspiring us to continue innovating ways to empower people with the information they need to make intelligent decisions. We thank the American Business Awards for this recognition.”

Members of the Awards' Board of Distinguished Judges & Advisors and their staffs will select Stevie Award winners this week from among the Finalists. Finalists were chosen by business professionals nationwide during preliminary judging in March through early May.

“Being named a Finalist in The American Business Awards is an important achievement,” said Michael Gallagher, founder and president of The Stevie Awards. “It means that independent business executives have agreed that the nominee is worthy of national recognition. We congratulate all of the finalists on their achievement and wish them well in the competition.”
